About us

Wansbeck Golden Age Forum was established in 2012 to provide a meeting place where members of the forum could discuss anything of common concern and in an informal atmosphere. The Forum provides a central voice for older people and talk to decision makers within both public and voluntary/community organisations in order to :-
Make sure that the right information gets to those who plan services for older people.
Encourage information sharing.
Help older people to choose the services best for them.
Encourage independence.
We hold information that may be useful in both individuals and groups and will arrange speakers and collect information about anything that would be useful to you.
WE are in touch with Age UK and receive information from them which keeps us up to date with national causes and events in relation to older people.
THERE ARE LOTS OF DIFFERENT THINGS THAT CAN HELP TO IMPROVE SOMEONE'S QUALITY OF LIFE AND SENSE OF WELL BEING.
WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR NEEDS AND YOUR OPINIONS TO ENSURE THE FORUM DOES EVERYTHING WITHIN ITS MEANS TO HELP ENSURE THAT THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE IN WANSBECK IS THE BEST POSSIBLE.
